Studio Habitat Portfolio
City Inn runs a changing programme of art exhibitions across our 5 UK cities. Exhibitions are set within the public spaces of the hotels and open to view 24 hours a day. Each exhibition is curated by Hotel Art Curator, Meredith Gunderson.
The Habitat Portfolio was created in celebration of Glasgow's 1999 title of UK City of Architecture and Design. Glasgow Print Studio invited 12 well known and exciting artists to create one print each working within the Glasgow Print Studio printmaking workshop. Each artist was asked to make a work responding to the definition of "habitat" which reads,
'the normal abode of an animal or plant; the physical environment of any community; the place where a person or thing can usually be found.'
